Everyone has the right to be different. You do not have the right to assault someone because that person is different. You do not have the right to harass someone because that person is different. I’m glad iamthedavrezi is pressing charges and I hope the parents get involved and don’t put up with any excuse the school gives if that bully is not suspended.
On friday, I went to school in my Grell cosplay. On friday, I wanted to celebrate a fun day with some friends I met at a convention who are attempting to put on a nearly impossible show. On friday, I went to school expecting a few strange looks, confused questions, rude comments, and maybe even a few laughs.
What I didn’t expect was that I would be attacked by someone that I had never even seen before.
Is the Super Bowl over yet? lol I’m a Washingtonian, born and raised, however since 1998 I’ve had a deep dislike for the Seahawks (and Mariners). Essentially the reason why I dislike the Seahawks (and Mariners) has to do with the fact that we Washingtonians saw our sales tax increase from 7.5% to (currently) 9.5% to primarily pay for replacing the Kingdome not with one stadium but two!
Did you know that in 1998 Paul Allen threatened to sell (and/or move) the Seahawks from Seattle if the taxpayers didn’t pay for a new stadium? That bond, which increased sales tax from 7.5% to 9%, will remain in effect until 2016. That means taxpayers will have spent 18 years paying for the Seahawks stadium. Did you know the Kingdome was 23 years old when it was demolished?
Think about this, the Kingdome was only five years older than the Seahawks stadium will be at the end of the bond (in 2016). I have a feeling Allen will again demand Seattle and King County pay for upgrades and repairs OR to replace the stadium again… all at taxpayers expense. Because King County voters literally outnumber the rest of Washington state combined the bond will pass because Seattle and King County residents will not let the Seahawks go and again taxpayers will pay a billionaire’s threats and demands.
On top of that from 1998 through 2008 the Seattle SuperSonics (basketball) saw a decline in ticket sales (for a variety of reasons). I really do think that when the Kingdome was destroyed and the Sonics were relocated that it played a part in the Sonics losing money. As a result the Sonics were sold and relocated to Oklahoma City where they’re now known as the Thunder.
This is why I dislike the Seahawks. To me the Seahawks (and Paul Allen) are the reason our sales tax went up and we lost the Sonics. I won’t even get into how Paul Allen has messed with Seahawks colors (which were a navy blue, gray and hunter/forest green but have that hideous neon green).
Paul Allen should have paid for his own stadium, not taxpayers.
